 Picnic Area

Enjoy our lovely farm with a post-ride picnic.   Any registered rider can use the site!   Currently we have a table set up in front of our historic barn and more on the way!

Barn Picnic Area

  • Seating: One wooden picnic table and a couple of extra chairs to relax and unwind after your ride.  Lots of lawn space for picnic blankets.

  • Own food and drink is fine!

  • From May 1, 2027 you can pre-order post-ride meals on select days.

  • For roadies going south from South Burlington, Shelburne, the hub is a nice lunch stop - we are about 0.4 miles of gravel from Spear Street.

  • Future Upgrades (Targeted Late Summer 2027): Planned enhancements include equipping the workshop shelter with tables, chairs, cycle decor, a storage fridge, adding a second picnic spot in the orchard, and renting a portable toilet.

Prindle Road had several barns on it in the 1960s. Most have since collapsed including Wandering Goat's sister barn where the picnic bench is.   In 2011 owner Jon Fishman (Phish) raised this barn (circa 1900), put in a modern foundation and rebraced the frame.   This is now the main picnic lawn for Wandering Goat Cycle Hub!
