Welcome Note to Traveling Guests!

While different members of the family help out with the cvcle-hub, accommodation, and catering, travel is my personal passion.  I have been traveling my whole life for family, work, fun and volunteering.  You can read more about my travel backround below.

My experiences impact the design, curation and structure of a trip.   We provide flexible frameworks where group, friend, couple and solo modes co-exist. We always integrate local culture and cuisine so our trip is more likely to include a collection of countryside hill rambles ending in a pub instead of the famous Haute Route.  We try to connect travelers that are active, inquisitive and in their own way trying to make the world a better place.   Please read more about our trip vibe and style on the link below.

Im excited to tell you more about our 2027 trips lby phone, email, or in person!  The initial focus is on Iberian regions. Here there are multiple biospheres, cultures and languages so no two trips are close to the same!  In 2028 we'll move east towards Italy.

I look forward to traveling with you!

Simien Mountains, Ethiopia Feb 2002. Imet Gogol - 12900ft.  After several years of backpacking alone, I organized my first "Group" tour helping 2 other wayward backpackers on a 5 day traverse over the Simien Escarpment.  I hired three boys who spoke 10 or so English words and a  rifle armed scout.  We walked and stayed at remote villages, always starting with an elaborate coffee ceremony .  We observed amazing kindness within poverty and destruction that was evident  after the 2001 ceasefire.  We helped with some village projects as some villages were missing manpower.  In between villages, we tracked  Wolves, the Gelada, the only primate that grazes grass, and the amazing Walia  Ibex  (FYI the southern most  Wandering Goat on the planet).  We wouldn't ever run  this trip, but I treasure experiences that combines a physical journey with nature,  culture, cuisine and a meaningful story.  We always try to design a  walkabout that is more than  just a trail!
